NOC code

<< Back to Glossary

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) is a numeric system used to classify occupations in Canada. If you know the NOC code of the occupation you're interested in, you can use it to search for information on wages, salaries, employment outlook and required education or certifications.

Unless otherwise noted, OCCinfo is based on the 2006 NOC with the exception of wage profiles, which are based on the 2011 NOC.
